Taylor Carlier sits down with her friend and church small group leader, Beth DaSilva , for a conversation about being vs. doing in ministry, the importance of God’s presence, and learning to live from the overflow—especially in seasons of transition, changing roles, and shifting titles. Beth shares her journey from Wisconsin to Nashville, her experiences in vocational ministry, and what she’s learned about rest, surrender, and trusting God’s timing. Bethany grew up in Madison, Wisconsin in a pastor’s family, where her love for Jesus and His Church took root early in life. She went on to study theology and worship leadership at Hillsong International Leadership College in Sydney, Australia. For nearly ten years, she served on staff at her home church, Ridgeway Church, as a youth director, worship leader, and member of the teaching team. In 2023, Bethany and her husband made the move to Nashville, Tennessee. They attend and serve at The Belonging Co., and Bethany works as the Coordinator of Student Initiatives at Show Hope, a Christian organization committed to adoption advocacy.
